Ride early or ride late...We don't ride until about 6:30-7pm on weeknites and on our weekend rides we are out the door by 7-730am. You can get in an hour or two before the oppressive stuff starts. Plus, the breeze factor is increased by the speed of the bike. I haven't had much trouble with the heat this way, and I am not a person who can normally deal well with heat and humidity.

When it gets hot on my commute home I stop and wet my jersey and hair down for the ride home. I am also lucky to pass by a local swimming hole on my way home. Pit stop there for sure
