Carol,
Thanks for your note. You tale of recovery makes me sound like a total wimp as I am two weeks into recovery and struggling with cardio endurance and just making myself do anything at all. I try to rationalize it by thinking that I probably went into the whole situation way overtrained and my body needs more than it's usual 1 week recovery time between 6 week training sessions, but I also think that I may have gotten a bit too much anesthetic and pain killer for the surgery and hospital stay.
Of course that fact that I have to haul my FIL's 20 pound dog in and out of the house 6 times or so a day, since he is on 6 weeks enforced cage rest for an ACL and cystectomy for bladder stones, doesn't help much since it pretty much makes FIL a basket case as well. However I have started back to the gym or on the trainer on a daily basis, plus allowing myself as many therapeutic afternoon naps as I seem to need so slowly day by day it gets easier.
As for the pink team- good a cause as it is I have to say this is one team I never aspired to belong to
Thanks for the good thoughts- I am trying to be patient and maintain my sense of humor but sometimes it is easier than others.
