    Not necessarily. I'd been riding clipless for well over a decade and could only clip into my Speedplay Zeros with GREAT difficulty! I'd ridden the Speedplay X-2's and Frogs with no problems whatsoever.

    I love my frogs! I have them on both bikes and love them. I wouldn't use anything else.

    The SpeedPlay Light Actions are AWESOME. I love them! They are quite easy to clip out of. If you clip the shoe on the pedal, remove your foot and then use your hand to clip out you will find it's just an easy twist with very little pressure.

    They have a ton of float - so much that I had to switch from clipping out with my knee bent (in SPD) to my leg extended so I could get more range of motion.

    They are different to clip into as you step right on the pedal. You don't "toe down first then push down heel."

    I have them on my Orbea and on my Bike Friday. I put the covers on the Bike Friday when not using the clips.
