Which tri suit do you have?

I have been pretty happy with my Zoot Ultra stuff, but this year I bought some Orca shorts because they are longer. I haven't worn them for more than 20 miles yet.

Hey, I developed an Oly nutrition plan with a sports dietitian, and it worked well. For what it may or may not be worth for you, here it is:

Breakfast when I first get up: low fat yogurt, some kind of toast with peanut butter.

One bottle of Perpetuum on the bike (two scoops, rest water).

Take a gel with me on the run.

The bottle of Perpetuum is the nutritional lifesaver for me, since it's liquid (don't like having solid food in my stomach on a run), and I can drink it all on the bike, and not eat on the run. I haven't used the gel yet but like to have it in case I need it.

Otherwise, I drink as much water as I can find in between and at water stations. I don't drink sports drink at those stations. I know my stomach can handle Perpetuum.
"My predominant feeling is one of gratitude. I have loved and been loved;I have been given much and I have given something in return...Above all, I have been a sentient being, a thinking animal, on this beautiful planet, and that in itself has been an enormous privilege and an adventure." Congratulations on your first Oly!!! What a great report and a great job! It's hard for me to imagine that you were cold. I'm doing a sprint tri on Saturday and the temp will be close to 100. I'm worried about not getting too hot.

I have stuck with Zoots for my tri suits/shorts. I wore my Zoot ultras alone for Ironman with bodyglide and zero red spots (a first!). I did get a pair of Orcas because they are a bit longer and my delicate thighs can rub the inside seams with the zoots, but haven't tested them yet.

(I did have an LG top, but I have to avoid anything with zippers over sprint/oly distance or my neck is carved up by the zipper.)

Congrats on your race! The first is always a learning experience. An Olympic distance requires a fair amount of extra care vs. a sprint, but is still short enough to not feel like a test of your mental acuity at the same time You did very well.
