YES! Or after meowing, or stopping at a weird point during their breaths. I have two that do it all the time. I'll have to see if I can dig up a picture![]()

Yes, I love it! Skunk will walk around like that if you interrupt her while she's cleaning. She won't notice until she starts cleaning again or I stick my finger on her tongue.

My cat's tongue sticks out when he is excited - I always think he is going to bite it off.
Yep. Houston-we-have-a-problem will do that. It's like he forgot to tuck it back into his mouth. Completely ruins his attempts at looking sophisticated.
My cat Laverne doesn't stick out her tongue, but she does sleep like this:

I have a series of photos of our tuxedo maine coone kitty, writhing and wreathing his way across the floor under the ceiling fan on his back in positions like your kitty. Of course he sleeps a lot on his back with his legs splayed anyway. The photo series is call "fan dance".
He wanders around with his tongue haniging out , but doesn't sleep that way, that would just be too undiginified.

My Maine Coon tuxedo, Matteo, often has his tongue sticking out. I haven't noticed it when he's asleep though.
