I feel like I eat so much more than everyone else!!!

B: egg sandwich w/ bacon + Green Smoothi
S: Greek yogurt + Homemade granola bar
L: Black beans and Rice w/ greens
    S: String cheese, raisins
D: Ultrameal Shake (w/ frozen banana) + Salad
ES: Dark chocolate square, bowl of popcorn

SO, the last few weeks, every afternoon, I have been CRAVING potato chips in the worse way. I looked up "decoding cravings" and read that craving salty things indicated a deficiency in minerals and to eat more greens. I was already eating a salad with my lunch and dinner! I kept playing around with adding more greens to my diet. I finally decided to try a Green Smoothie (smoothie made with leafy green vegetables and frozen fruit). I have been having one with breakfast for the last few days. I can't believe it, but I no longer crave potato chips! And I have more energy in the mornings. I truly did not think eating spinach would satisfy my lust for Lay's Potato Chips, but it sure has. Weird.

1 scoop cookies and cream ice cream from Ben and Jerry's. (The ice cream was more like cookie parts held together with ice cream rather than ice cream with cookies in it...)

I've been watching your food intake lately. How do you feel when you ride? I would never make it with what you are eating!

I dont know I am on this weird kick lately. All I wanted was fruit and I feel great. Although today had more substance. I have barely been drinking water even and peeing all the time. The past month I felt like I was hungry all the time, I was eating like 5 meals a day, I was riding a ton, and was gaining weight, muscle perhaps or just weight. Usually when I ride I gain weight and when i do yoga (I teach yoga) more I loose weight. I am about 110lbs. I kept thinking I was so hungry was cause I was going to get my period but then it didn't come and suddenly all I want is fruit. Weird huh. We'll see how long this kick lasts. I would think I would maybe loose a few pounds but not yet. Maybe it's all the beer and gin I've been drinking to make it balance out. That's the bad part about working at a bar. I have also eased my riding lately 20 mile rides instead of 50 for this past week to let my body rest and recover a bit. I am also vegan so I tend to eat a lot of fruit and veggies anyways. Everyone's body is different everyone thrives off of different fuels. We are human cells and organisms, our needs flux with the seasons and weather I believe as well. Thats why I find this post so interesting. Everyone has such interesting food habits and things that work for them.

    Today
B: tea with soymilk and honey, granola
s: few big handfuls salty pretzels, few bits of orzo pasta salad
s: 2 beers at the river and 1/3 a watermelon toped with TONS of salt.
d: sauteed spinach with white beans, tofu sandwich on barley rye bread, 1/2 banana
    dd: kombucha
