    spin shoe/cleat stuck in pedal??

Ladies, i'm brand new to this site and have only been spinning for 8 months. I've had spin/cycling shoes almost the entire time and as of late have had a lot trouble clipping in and out of the pedals. (they're spin bikes, so it's not the same pedal every time.) They're spd cleats...do I need to lubricate them? I got stuck tonight, had to take my foot out and a man in my class had to pry my shoe off the pedal. What gives??? I've only recently been having issues. Does it matter how i've adjusted my cleats? I'm sure they're tightened well. Can anyone help??? I don't know that cleats could be worn out this quickly, but like I said, i'm relatively new to this. Thanks so much for your help

I'm not too familiar with SPD pedals but with Look, Speedplay, and some of the others, if the bolts come loose on your shoe, you shoe and the cleat gets stuck. Even though you may think the bolts are tight, check to see if the cleat doesn't rotate on your shoes.

If the cleat can rotate on your shoe, you will have difficulty in getting out.

My SPDs are notorious for loosening up. They have to be REALLY tight, I imagine your cleat is a little loose and that the spin bike pedals need to be loosened up a bit.
