Or bringing in said laundry (which did eventually dry) in the hottest part of the day, 88° and 59% humidity (same dewpoint, just the higher temperature means the air can hold more moisture) - while trying not to sweat all over it. Only partially successfully.
The worst thing to me about the one summer I spent in Florida was having to run the AC even at night when the temperature was comfortable outside, because if you dared to open a window, the entire house would turn to mold overnight.
I don't know which was worse, the knowledge of the waste, or having to breathe the dead air. I hate AC.
