So jealous!! Living overseas there are NO girlscout cookies to be found! Next year, I think I'll order the 10 gallon drum worth to make up for it!!

What in the heck are the peanut butter ones called? They are my favorites, but, as I appear to have forgotten their name, you can tell I've deprived myself of them for years.

Thin Mints should live in the freezer, BTW. Super tasty crispy frozen, and a really nice surprise 6 months later if you forget you stashed a box there!

    I work with the mother of a GS--should be selling....right about...now!

Oh, I like this! You CAN get them in the US. I found them here. And look! They are so versatile!

    SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Australian Desserts: Try these yummy Tim Tam recipes...

    NAKED
Eat an icy-cold Tim Tam all on its lonesome. (Sound familiar? Icy cold Thin Mint?)

    TIM TAM HEAVEN
Crush 3 Tim Tams up into a dessert bowl, pour 1 shot glass of Port or Muskat over them, top with sweetened cream and chocolate sprinkles.

    TIM TAM SLAM
Also known as the TIM TAM Suck or TIM TAM Bomb. Grab a Tim Tam and a warm drink (coffee, milo or tea). Nibble both ends off the biscuit and use it as a straw for your drink. When its saturated, quickly SLAM it in your gob before it falls apart. It can get kinda messy, but who cares when it tastes that GOOD!

    TIM TAM CHEWY CARAMEL EXPLOSION
At Arnotts (www.arnotts.com) they suggest the Chewy Tim Tam Caramel Explosion. Get 1 pack Chewy Caramel Tim Tams roughly chopped, 8 generous scoops Vanilla Ice-cream & 8 tbs Caramel Topping with Chocolate sprinkles to garnish.

    TIM TAM THICKSHAKE
The Editors at www.coffeebreak.com.au recommend the "Tim Tam Thickshake". Mix a packet of Tim Tams, 8 scoops of vanilla icecream & 400ml milk in a blender. Rich, thick and full of chocolate. Hmmm.

    And one for snapdragen...

    TIM TAM MARTINI
Make the Tim Tam Thickshake (above) but add nip of Baileys (Irish Cream Liquor), Frangelico (Hazelnut Liquor), Kahlua (Coffee Liquor) or Creme de Menth (Mint Liquor) to it.

well holy moly... how'd I miss this??? My god daughter is a Scout... I bought from her but had the cookies sent to the troops in Iraq... probably just far enough to keep me outta them! Nothing quite like a good box of thin mints... yes, all at once.

And these Tim Tams... I see that I'll be needing to keep my eyes peeled... only 6 1/2 months until I'm off to Australia for the first time!!!! WOOT! Can hardly wait...

Bikerchick make sure you leave some space in your suitcase when you come so you can take some tim tams home.

Make sure you also try a biscuit here called mint slice, they are made by the same company that makes tim tams (Arnotts). Mint slice are a chocolate biscuit with a layer of mint cream on top coated in chocolate. They are devine.

If any of you ever manage to get hold of a packet of tim tams and can resist the urge of eating them all, put a few biscuits in a blender with milk and icecream - yummo.

    I've had a very sheltered upbringing ...
Never had girl scout cookies, never had Tim Tams and never had a Gonk!
I can't believe I've been here over 8 months now and the joys of Tim Tams have hitherto alluded me. I'm not to sure about the Naked TT thing though - the neighbours might petition.
I'm thinking of trying caramely ones with hokey pokey ice cream - I reckon that'd be a heavenly introduction!
We could have a trade thing going on here - I'll swop you Tim Tams for Girl Scout Cookies!
