Well ****...what's your secret? BC? That must be nice! I used to not get my period for about 3 years, but I still noticed each month I had very very slight symptoms like bloating and being cranky once a month. Maybe it's just your body telling you you need to rest? We are living breathing things, we flux, if you know what i mean.

    Aquamoose, you must be young....
I am 9 years post menopause. Yes, I was pretty young (48) when it happened, but I was so thankful, after ten years of horrible peri-menopause symptoms.

Feeling a bit better today and weight is almost back to normal. But, as you can see, I ate hardly anything yesterday and I woke up in the middle of the night, ravenous.

non fat Greek yogurt and blueberries, herbal tea

2 cups of coffee, egg white omelette with tomato pesto and goat cheese, an apple

baked sole with a panko and parmesan topping, whole wheat cous cous with zucchini and grape tomatoes, 2 squares dark chocolate

    Yesterday:
    Cereal with 1%

No ride for me--I've been exhausted lately for no reason that I can think of.

Two slices of whole wheat-sunflower seed toast with garlic hummus
    Handful of wasabi peas

Wine tasting at Whole Foods--equivalent of ~1.5 glasses of wine (I split the remaining half glass between my parents because I really didn't like it!), small amounts of salad, pork, salmon, bread, ricotta, and pound cake...all but the salmon had blueberries in it. (I think there was a blueberry surplus!)

Salad with mixed greens, carrots, celery and tomatoes, bread with a few different types of cheeses, grapes
At least I don't leave slime trails.

2 slices low salt ham, blueberries, slice of cheese, coffee

brunch with son and DIL (we always do father's day on Saturday to avoid being around screaming kids): the "salad plate" which was a scoop of curried chicken salad, hummus and whole wheat pita chips, veggies marinated in oil and vinegar, coffee

friends came over for dinner. we made home made sangria... sat out on the deck and drank that, with guacamole, pita, and cheese
spicy flank steak with home made salsa, sweet potatoes, salad, fresh strawberries and blueberries

    Cereal with 1%
Glass of milk with chai stuff
    Gazpacho, grilled cheese sandwich, grapes
Possibly the most bland Indian food in existence: Rogan josh (lamb in a cream-based red sauce), half a veggie samosa, 2 vegetable pakoras, a summer squash and cauliflower mixture (covered with butter, it appeared ), a couple scoops of basmati rice, and a serving of pistachio ice cream.

I never want to eat again.

2 eggs, 2 slices ww toast
    English muffin with cheese
Indian lunch. My life is complete now that there's a new Indian restaurant nearby! Saag paneer, alu gobi, rice, samosa and naan. Heaven.
Had the leftovers for dinner, but it wasn't quite enough. So...

2 eggs, 1 piece wg toast, coffee, 1 peach
S: 1 bowl of shredded wheat
2 singles matches - 1 granola bar in between; 1 bottle gatorade, lots of h20
couple of slices of meatloaf, ear of corn, 1 beer

I will be starving tomorrow after playing two matches back to back and not eating much. First match started at 12, second a couple hours later, so it is really hard to eat much on days like that.

    Today:
3 slices low salt ham, an orange, 3 thin slices Machengo cheese, coffee
about an hour later, a slice of whole wheat bread with soy nut butter

50.3 mile ride. I nibbled on about 3/4 of a Luna Bar up until mile 24. At lunch, I had a turkey sandwich on a bulkie roll, with lettuce and tomato, mayo, half a packet of nuts and cranberries. Drank some plain water. I drank 1.5 bottles of Nuun on the ride and finished the Luna Bar at mile 38. Drained the bottle of plain water when we got home and finished the nuts and cranberries.

Dinner out: portobella burger with grilled red pepper, onions, mozzarella, on a bun, coleslaw. 16 oz. Blue Moon

46 mile bike ride: one home-made granola/raisin bar (large), one bottle lemonade (+ 2 bottles of water), goodly amount of multi-grain pita chips for salt and general yumminess

L: salmon salad, tall glass lemonade, vanilla ice cream in a cup of cold coffee

D: roasted mixed veggie wrap w/cheese, beans, rice; whole-grain tortilla; lettuce, salsa, 1 t. sour cream on the side; 1 light beer

Really haven't been hungry since my ride, but forced myself to eat.
