Thanks for sharing your story velociviexen! I'm sharing it with everyone I know! Drivers need to wake up and realize that (moms, dads, sons, daughters, loved ones, friends, human beings) are on those bikes!

It always amazes me how judgmental people can be based simply on your vehicle of choice at any given moment.
I was reading about the Big Ride Across America on a blog and one rider said that in Montana someone drove by and screamed "Get a job, you filthy hippies!" lol It's amazing what a bicycle between your legs projects to people.

Great story!
Several years back bf and I were riding our road bikes through downtown. As we were waiting first in line at a stop light a big pickup behind us kept rolling until he bumped the rear wheel of bfs bike. Bf was pizzed to say the least. There was a bit of a yelling match as I noted the license plate (front & rear plates in CO). More: Einstein in the truck had his wife and 2 young kids in there with them, plus his business name on the truck.
Called the police later with the plate number. Don't know if anything more came of it. I googled the business name but never found anything.
