I have rainlender (a desktop calendar), and it's okay. Not completely intuitive, but it's not hard to figure out. You can play with the settings to tell it when you want reminders.

I'm looking to replace my hard copy "birthday calendar" with something online - either in the cloud or a local ap on my desktop (I don't have a smartphone, so can't use a phone ap).
Does anyone use one of these and like it? I'd like it to send or pop up a reminder at least a week ahead of time. Other than that, my requirements are pretty flexible. Obviously no malware, hitchhiker programs, etc....
Thanks!![]()

Saving for the next one...
Google Calendar has some useful tools for setting reminders and the like. Plus it's available where ever you are..

If you use a Mac OS, you can use iCal for that. Super easy. Can't help you on the Windows OS, though!![]()
Are you using any kind of calender program already? I've been using Outlook for this sort of thing.....I just set the reminder for 1 week.
