I love my bike, why do you love yours?

I love my bike because it keeps my car right where it belongs. Parked.

Ditto! The truck gets used to haul my bike up to the hills to do my favorite type of riding, which means it stays parked the rest of the time.

My bike has been my escape and my main joy in life since childhood. It is also my transportation 99% of the time. I love the endorphin highs, weight loss, and fitness gains my bike gives me. I also enjoy working on my bikes.

Evan though I've been riding off and on for about thirty years...I never started to really feel "in love" until I finally got a bike that actually FIT.

While I do love the paint job, the steel and the overall je ne se qua...it is finally having a bike that fits correctly that really seals the deal.

Cycling is the one childhood joy I don't have to give up. It still feels like Saturday morning with a whole day full of possibilities. It still feels like flying. It still feels like freedom and independence. Her wheels take me farther than I could get on my feet. She has reconnected me with my aging body, making me feel healthy and stronger than I have in years. There aren't enough words.

I love all my bikes cause they all have been paid off

one I like cause I can look like "Wilma". T-shirt, cargo pants, white socks...

one I like cause its "no-name brand" but pretty good (K2 makes bikes not just skis)

last one I like cause well its a real TT (actually a tri) bike Specialized transition pro. Rides rough but fast!!

I love my bikes because they take me on adventures, give me wings, and connect me to the world around me and to the present moment. When on my bikes I cannot get lost in the past, or tomorrow. They are awesome!

You know, I have never had that "visceral" love feeling for any bike I have owned. I love riding.
I think it has to do with the fact that a bike is an inanimate object. I don't have names for my bikes, either. It just doesn't seem to fit.
One time I had a "reaction" to a bike I saw at my LBS, when I went in to pick up something. I knew it was my size, because it was small, but it was really the color, a dark blue that I have rarely seen on a bike.
It turned out to be a Trek 5200, the very same bike I had traded in for the one I have now...
