I love strawberries. The couple years we tried growing them ourselves, the critters got to them. We got berries, just not for long enough to actually pick them.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

We fed our critters beer instead. A bit expensive, maybe, but we got to eat the strawberries ourselves

The slugs get flat beer or grapefruit. When they're not eating my dad's hostas, that is.

Deb, check out the strawberries at Mgrath's farm on Barretts Mill Rd. It's a small farm and the older guy who owns it is a hoot. He said he's hoping to make the crop last until July 4th.

Mmk..I need some help...
When i crashed a few years ago & ended up w a sterniclavicular dislocation...I was just told I needed to strengthen the upper body and things would move along well..Great advice
Urm..it's not working and am getting really frustrated with the flare ups which keep me from swimming/biking fast(ish)...It's not much fun...
Do i bother my cool dr about this to get it sorted? I've been told there's not much they can do but anything is better than bone slivers scraping together, very sore sternum etc. After 4yrs I would not expect this to be happening...
So...any ideas?

Bad news: The shop I work in is having such light business that they asked me not to come in this afternoon. Only 3 repair jobs in the queue. We had a really slow May due to the cool rainy weather, and it hasn't picked that much in June.
Good news: I got to take a ride this afternoon instead of working til 8 pm.
Other nice news: I don't have to work Saturday morning, so I'm doing a 30 mile charity ride for pediatric cancer with a friend and her 4-year-old (who will be on a trail-a-bike).
I think Harpoon Summer Beer is the best beer I've ever had. Thanks go to my generous supplier.
Oil is good, grease is better.
