yay!!! and maybe next time, rub both down with washcloth immediately upon return from the vet:? even better, take them BOTH at the same time.

No, that won't help! The kids went in for a dental cleaning last week, and came home fighting furiously because of too many weird smells--and they're brother and sister! Taking them both won't matter. The washcloth thing might help. It took ours a few hours to get used to each other again and calm down.
"My predominant feeling is one of gratitude. I have loved and been loved;I have been given much and I have given something in return...Above all, I have been a sentient being, a thinking animal, on this beautiful planet, and that in itself has been an enormous privilege and an adventure." O. Sacks
The washcloth thing didn't help yesterday. I'll see come September if taking them both helps when it comes time for their annual exams. I heard that Feliway might help, too. We might just have to accept that this is going to happen when Henry goes to the vet. It did pass relatively quickly, as disconcerting as it was.

It used to happen with my old cats, too. It was like they thought the cat who had gone to the vet had been taken over by pods, like in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". Cats are so funny. You never know what's gong to freak them out.
I hope Henry is better now. Poor little guy.

Glad things are back to normal. On the other hand I wish my three would actually be more friendly towards each other. Basically I have 3 cats who do not like each other. No real fights, just hissing and growling on occasion. On the other hand when one has to stay at the vet and then we bring her home there's never any extra trouble.
Yup vet smells every time will do it. I have 3 cat's and it always happens when I take one in and not the other's.
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
