    Red face About CyclaSutra

    Real name: Johanna Love

Where do you live? Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Explanation of your handle: I wrote a column in January about snow biking at 5 degrees, and mentioned that when the sun peeked over the butte and hit my face, it felt like a climax. A local pundit wrote a letter to the editor, poked fun at me and said he'd never had such a good time on a bike, maybe he should ask the CyclaSutra what he's doing wrong.

Explanation of your avatar: A photographer friend and I cruised Arizona in November. She had never ridden as an adult before, but I took her on an easy trail in Sedona, and she loved it. This is on a rental in Sedona.

    Age (general or specific) 31.5

    Occupation: Newspaper features editor

Favorite bike: Felt F70 with a "Girls Kick ***" sticker

What's in your stable? Also a hardtail Trek 8500 with a "Boys Lie" sticker that's disentigrating after too much mud ... and an Electra pink cruiser that I don't cruise often enough. Fourteen miles is too far to cruise it to the nearest coffee shop.

What bikes do you covet? I'd love a full-suspension mountain bike, but I'm on a shopping hiatus this year. I have everything I NEED. Want, that's a different story...

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 52 down the back side of Teton Pass (10 percent grade) on my way "Around the Block" last summer.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? Let's see if these attachments work ... One is me and my nutty "pit crew," the other is during a four-leg race called the Pole, Pedal, Paddle. Obviously, I was the pedal, and part of the paddle. We were the "Shady Ladies" last year, and we won the fun class (probably because they judge you on how much FUN you're having, not because our outfits were all that).

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: "I've had these shorts for a long time, punkin, they're not new."

Most memorable moment on my bike: Finally nailing a trackstand at a long traffic light ... sneaking up on a fisher during my commute ... standing in line at the coffee shop and knowing I earned that latte ... swooping through loop-de-loops on the singletrack.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Getting up after each endo, realizing that I didn't break anything on my body, and regaining the confidence to haul *** again.

Worst time ever on a bike: Either blowing out my ACL on a bad bunny hop , or not finishing my first attempt at a double century because of sleet and snow.

Funny. It's so weird because all I've ever done is read about the Rohloff. Never seen one, let alone ridden one, but being a bit of gear-lover, just had to have one. Especially, since it will make taking care of the bike easier. (yeah, i know you can do the same thing with singlespeeds and fixies, but I like my gears)

I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. Seems unreal. Suppose it will ge more real as I start sending more $$$ out.

No! Not more winter! Just give me a second to rustle up a plate of bickies and put the jug on so we can have a proper welcome.
