OK, I'm a New Yorker--I'm pretty sure this intersection is Park Av South and E 28 St. It is a relatively calm stretch of Park Av South but even so, I was surprised at the light car/truck traffic compared to foot and cycle traffic.

The video doesn't seem to include an example of my "favorite" inexplicable pedestrian behavior--walking in the roadway, parallel to traffic, alongside parked cars. I never noticed this behavior as a pedestrian myself but when driving or riding in NYC, I find it's bizarrely common. The miscreants aren't trying to cross the street, hail a cab or go to a car. They're just being weird. I've discussed this with friends and we are all baffled.
