Nope. For California, it's a relatively flat ride. A couple of ok hills towards the beginning, and then a big nasty hill near La Jolla, but otherwise not bad for climbs at all. The top of the big hill has a pit stop with a special reward.

So, did anyone sign up for the Amtrak Century this year? I did the route to Solana Beach on Saturday which was about 80 miles since I started from my house rather than the Irvine train station. It's such a pretty ride!
I'm super excited! Now I just have to figure out what kind of drinks and snacks I want for the train ride home.
