First time I really gave my bike a thorough washing, a thorough chain cleaning and lube. It's all pretty and shiny now. I even went so far as to use tweezers to pick out little rocks embedded in the front tire.
I've washed it before & cleaned & lubed chain, but it was a "quickie". Today's was thorough.
Anyway, it's not earth shattering, but it's a "newby" sort of thing, so I'm telling the world!![]()

Good for you! Let 'er shine!.........I justtttt finally, after too long to mention, seriously cleaned my chain and cassette for the first time.Wow, what a difference! Now I'm totally hooked on wiping off my chain after every ride and I actually look forward to using my Park Tool Cyclone to give it a good scrub every couple of weeks, LOL! My BF chuckles when he sees me break out the rags and toolbox, with a gleam in my eye.

YAY! Nothing better than a shiny bicycle!
I just (mostly) cleaned my bike yesterday. It's all clean now. The same cannot be said, however, about the floor of the garage. (I'm still mastering the use of the Park Tool thing...)
At least I don't leave slime trails.

Saving for the next one...
Hey, looks like we're all on a cleaning streak! I used a Park Tools brush thing with a hook at the end to get into & between the rear cassette (I guess that's what it's called)- all the rear sprockets/pointy things that the chain goes around on. Wow, I thought I knew what that was actually called....
There was dried on mud below the bottom bracket on the frame and up on the underneath side of the fenders.
It's supposed to be dry and sunny beginning tomorrow, so want to have "Scout" all ready to go. She keeps bugging me for a bubble bath in the tub, but I keep telling her she's too big for the tub!![]()

I need to wash my bike, too! But I have no idea how I am supposed to wash the chain or anything else. Anyone want to give me some advice. Is it really complicated? 'cause if it is I know I want even attempt it!
