Yes, the cravings go away and I don't think it takes too long. Then, when you taste anything with refined sugar/flour, it tastes impossibly sweet and yucky!

You'll have to figure out how you're going to reintroduce the simple/complex carbs when you're back to riding longer. CorsairMac has a whole thread about homemade energy bars with dried fruit/nuts, etc. Sometimes you've just got to put gas in the tank!
