Um...how are we supposed to stock up on prescription medications?

I always have about 3 months' worth of food and water stocked in my basement.

Do what people who have to do ... ration it out and stash some for the hard times...

love the billboard, too -- is it real or an Internet special?

I've managed to miss the zombie thing, but I never got into horror movies.

That CDC thing - and the billboard - are hysterically funny.

Good thing I'd forgotten all about the Rapture when I decided to take a nap in a cemetery at 3 am on Sunday during my brevet.

That's what shady Canadian pharmacies are for, BSG.

My BF and I have a Winchester, it's the best-stocked bar in town. We've agreed to meet there if the house is *$&%ed. Alas, if it is a tsunami instead of zombies, it would be the worst location, being right on the marina. But whatever, I'm guessing zombies are much more likely.

We have lots of bicycles and a couple few motorcycles, so if gas is scarce, we're covered. We could probably convert the motorcycles to biofuel of some sort.

We also have a manual typewriter, in case there are no computers and we need to communicate with people in a formal manner.

Our trees produce lots of oranges and grapefruit, so scurvy won't be an issue. Also, while I haven't been able to really grow many vegetables very well, the parsley is going OFF in the yard. if anyone needs a post-apocalypse garnish, come see me.

Of course, we have no water, food, first aid, etc. I should probably buy some band-aids next time I'm at the Target. We'll be bartering for letters and bicycle rides, in between decapitating the living dead.

Speaking of which, when does the Walking Dead come back on AMC?

I, for one, am so thankful we will be able to maintain civility and have parsley to garnish our plates. Thank you tangent!

BTW -- the zombies are already here. They shop at Sears.

Sept., I think...? I think it's to be back on around the time that the Fall season starts. Between that and Castle it's gonna be a looooong Summer!

I don't normally like horror, either. But even the "serious" zombie movies really seem to walk a fine line between scary and funny.

And how do you know you actually woke up from that nap and are not IN THE RAPTURE RIGHT NOW?
