Hi everyone,
My name is Tia, I've just started biking again.. I bought my first bike in my early twenties, a brand new purple Cannondale. Loved it and rode it all the time but then started a family. But as my kiddo's have gotten older (my youngest is 6), I have more time to do lots of things I used to do.
I had tried running recently but found my knee injury that resulted in an ACL repair a few years ago causes alot of pain and swelling. Skiing has been a great past time in the winter. I also white water raft, snowmobile and four wheel with my husband.
But I really wanted something that I could feel an accomplishment all my own. Riding my bike has been the answer so far. I love it. Although my old cannondale is rusty and the breaks squeek, It still brings me alot of enjoyment.
Since spring arrived I have been biking on off road trails near my home here in Idaho. I have big plans for me and for my old bike.
Replacing the worn out seat, breaks, ect.
Anyways, Thats a little about me.

Welcome back to the cycling world! I love the bike - My husband was the cyclist and I never thought I would share his passion; however, in 2004, he introduced me to a Giant OCR 3. Rode the devil out of that bike - did charity rides, long, long rides, leisure rides. That bike was good to me. Never thought I could part with her. Well, yesterday, my wonderful hubby suprised me with a Specialized Ruby Elite. Wasn't hard to make the transition.....lol
Anyway, enjoy being back on the bike!!!!!!!

Sunds like we are in the same boat. My youngest is 3 but I am determined to find time to ride again. I Am an on again/off again runner but it is so hard on the body. I really want to make cycling a priority because I know it is something I can continue to do the older I get.
Have fun with that 'dale
