220.4 this morning.
I've been living on applesauce, soup, unsweetened almond milk, and acai bowls the last few days, but last night I had pasta, which is the first solid food I've been able to manage well. The sauce burned a bit going down. I ate a plum yesterday, too. Took me 45 minutes to finish it because it burned so much going down. I didn't realize plums were so acidic.
I was also able to manage some soft white bread soaked in sauce last night -- glutton for punishment, I know, but the hunger was overwhelming and I've found if I chew on the right side and tilt my head to the right to swallow really small bites, the food doesn't track across the painful area down the middle and left of the back of my tongue. The whole grain stuff I usually eat was just too rough going down my throat.
I have to say, it's pretty easy to stick to a "diet" when it hurts like h-e-double hockey sticks to "cheat." I made brownies for desert last night and I tried a small bite. Ouuuuuuuuuuuucccccchhhh. I literally teared up from the pain.
Back to the applesauce and acai today.
