When all you've done in the morning is read news coverage of the terrible tragedy in the Giro yesterday, and are overwhelmed with sadness for the riders.

As a rider and racer, this has had a very profound impact on me.

I still tear up when I think about the death at the Giro. I don't like to think about how many times I have been lucky and sometimes not so lucky (Broken collar bone, collapsed lung, etc).
