You're supposed to clean it???????
LOL. In my never ending attempt to not overthink these things - mine gets a corner of a damp paper towel if something gets on the screen, and a light wipe. The laptop will die long before I have to worry about scratching the screen. My laptop has been obsolete for years, anything I get out of it these days is a bonus.
Windex. I spray it on a paper towel and use that to wipe the screen clean. My screen gets absolutely filthy with sticky kids' fingerprints and I haven't found any more gentle approach that actually cleans it.
Eye glass cleaner with a chamois. It even takes mayo off the screen.
Lookit, grasshopper....
Windex also makes "electronics wipes" designed for cellphones, computers, televisions etc. I found them at Target
