I think the only things I've bought from LBSes have been socks and gloves. (Well, not counting the one jersey from a bike shop in Arizona--they had a decent selection of women's clothes.)
TE, Amazon (well, Backcountry and Bikesomewhere via Amazon), Performance, and Primal Wear (direct) are my usual sources. I don't buy that much because I'm not riding a whole lot these days, but as it gets warmer...I should probably buy another pair of shorts!
At least I don't leave slime trails.

Saving for the next one...
I have a couple of jerseys from Voler, too. But, DH trolls the internet for this stuff. It's not directly from Voler.
We buy all of our bike accessories and parts on line, mostly from Performance, but once in awhile from another place. My DH was even pictured in the Performance Catalog, back in maybe 2003, back when he was buying a ton of stuff to support DS racing (i.e. crash=new parts).
I guess I found a couple of brands that fit me and stuck to them. I have had to return very little. I do try to support local businesses, generally, but there is no way I am going to pay 120.00 for a jersey.

I'm finding that you can spend a small fortune on cycling or a large fortune! I'm also finding that lately I couldn't care less about shopping for work clothes--which is a HUGE change for me. I've always been a clotheshorse. I'm much more interested in shopping for workout clothes these days.
When it comes to cycling clothing, I've found that the three LBSs around me don't have much selection. I prefer REI, and I've been stalking Ebay for jerseys, but there's something slightly icky about the idea of cycling shorts on ebay.
Speaking of REI, does anyone know if they price match? I've found the cycling shoes I think I want online for $15 less than REI charges. I want to try them on before purchasing. I'm thinking of going to my local store and bringing the printout of the site where I found them cheaper.

A vast majority of my biking clothing has come from TE...even before I worked around the corner from their office/warehouse.
I have a few jerseys from other random places like Terry, Bonktown, or an LBS. When I first started riding and I was collecting bike stuff like mad, I also purchased from Performance and REI pretty frequently. I don't usually do that anymore (unless I see something spectacular) as I prefer to keep my cycling wardrobe limited to only things I REALLY love and not just tons of options.
All of my tri clothing is from either TE or directly from DeSoto when TE didn't have the size/color/style I needed.
