If your husband is providing SAG support, I wouldn't carry much on the bike at all. And hey, is there room in your husband's car for Chicken Little's, Tri Girl's, AND my gear, too, in addition to your own?

    You go Girl

Sounds like you are well on your way to a terrific trip. Yes, with a Sag wagon you will be able to travel light. I use two bags for light travel the Zimbale 11 liter canvas Saddlebag and the Zimbale front Rack bag (fits on my nitto front rack)

I would add that having both a tail light and a headlight are a must. Even the best laid plans can sometimes catch you in the dark.

Crazy Guy on a Bike is perfect and of course Adventure Cycling. Looks like the links have been shared.

I also invite you to read Bike Touring News - this is the blog my husband and I have. We offer insights, suggestions and gear for all bike travelers. He just wrapped up a trip from Austin to New Orleans (also on Crazy Guy) but can be accessed from our site.

Me - I am on the road to recovery after 18 months of severe Achilles Tendonitis so feel like a newbie all over again

    Happy Riding,
    Sky King
