WOW, quite some runs going on...and fast, too. I keep reminding myself that for these short legs my speed is respectable!
6 miles w/ my version of "hill repeats". Posted about my runs on Pikes Peak Thread.
We are already having summer weather here, came really early this year!

Woke up this morning hoping to run outside-- it wasn't raining, at last! But while I was drinking my coffee, a tornado watch was issued, so I headed over to the Y and the treadmill. Good thing-- the watch became a warning. Even though there was no tornado touchdown in this part of town, its not something I'd want to be outside for. Ended up doing 6 miles in 54 minutes, then managed to do one unassisted pull-up!!!! Couldn't managed a second one, tho.

3 easy miles for me yesterday - I'm am still in recovery phase so all runs this week are suppose to be short and easy. I have some tightness still in my left hamstring, started about two weeks before the marathon, it is getting better, my coach tells me I just to be patient...

Just got my annual entry form for the "Rectifier 5k"
I'm so excited! It's a hill-billy race on a private farm. It's billed as a "European style cross country course" with water, jumps, mud, haybales, logs, and other obstacles. It's a fun event. And the mud pit is a BIG mud pit, about mid thigh. It's a fun event. After missing it for two years, I'm super excited that we'll be in town and can participate! Yay!

AND dogs get to run the course too and they give awards to the top 3. They also have separate award categories for "Smokers, heaviest, oldest, DFL, pregnant" etc.

The first time we did the race it was a private event and we had to have a personal invite. But it's gotten pretty big and popular.

I ran approximately 3 hilly miles outside today on my lunch hour at work. Temp was a perfect 75, overcast, and VERY windy! I had a hard time even running with the headwind, but it felt so good! Right as I got back to the gym and was stretching outside, it started raining, so I went back into the gym to finish my stretching. Within 1 minute, it was POURING!!! I thank my lucky stars that I finished up in the nick of time.
