I don't think your post counts change when you change your screen name. Mine didn't. But, if you totally opened a new account, I guess it would.
For a long time I didn't post when I was at work, and then, during my last year or two of teaching, I did. Since I've been in school, I've been posting more.
I should get a new hobby, too. Over 5,000 posts in 6 years is too much.

I'm on a running board where I was one of the earliest members...and I'm one of the most prolific posters, too (Kerry1976 can attest to this). Post counts aren't shown...which is probably for the best. I think I'd be pretty to see the actual # in 5 years of membership...

Same here, I've got 23,000 posts on the motorcycling board I frequent (over the last 8 years).
