Pax, I've had my Illinois Share the Road Plates ordered for months and still don't have them. As I understand it, they have to have 1500 people commit to the plates before they will manufacture them and that's the hold up. I can't wait to get them.

I bet once the weather finally cooperates and people can get out on their bikes we'll see an upsurge in orders. If I can convince my SO to part with the $$ we'll be joining you.

I am in Indiana and will certainly get one when my tags are due this summer. They had to have a base number of people to commit to purchase one before they were approved by the State, and I understand the proceeds will go for bicycle awareness programs.

I WOULD have gotten it early, but several bikes have been calling my name

I wanted to get one this year but the new registration for my jeep was steeper than I thought, so next year I'll get them.
