Hey Helga! SO glad to see you posting again and to know that you're back home. Our bible study group got together last night and they were all asking me how you were doing. I was so happy to be able to tell them that you went home on Friday. I hope you are more comfortable and peaceful at home. I can't imagine 3 weeks in the hospital!
You're an amazing lady and I look forward to riding with you again sometime. Hang in there!

Hey Helga! Welcome home... it's good to hear you're mending well.
If you would still like to attend the Spazzdog unload event, I have a lovely little chair we can put outside in the morning sun so you can "supervise". Coffee will be provided as you would be "management"![]()

Glad to hear you're are home Helga! Isn't it nice to be amongst your own things again! Sorry to hear about your accident but glad to hear you're recovery nicely!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
I'm sending you an abundance of healing vibes!!!
Welcome home Helga! Keep working that rehab therapy! You'll be back on two wheels in NO time!
When I broke my leg a few years ago I had to have a rod put down my left femur. I remember being totally devastated. My friend gave me the best piece of advice. She said "you can lay around and mope about it and you'll be better in 6 mos to a year. Or you can work your therapy like your training for a race and you'll be back out there in 6 months. It's all about ATTITUDE".. Well I took that advice and wouldn't you know it- but I was back out there in no time. Even my marathon runner doctor was amazed. When I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2001 (right before 9/11- what timing) I adopted the same attitude and I think it really helped me to endure the regime they had me on. So I guess what I'm trying to say is this.. BE STRONG! You sound like a fighter, and you sound like you have the right attitude already, so keep it up and Give em HELL!!!![]()
Take care.
