Latest wrinkle on the canoe relay race team I'm organizing: someone dropped out, so now I'm paddling 2 legs At least it's legs 1 and 5, so I get a rest in between.

How long are the legs you have to paddle??

I've read all of them. The last one published (I can't remember if it was Back Bay or Cape Cod) ended the exact same week I moved back here... the first week in June, 1990. I felt like the book had traced quite a few of the major events of my life. It was just a weird feeling to read an end of a book when the things discussed had such a current connotation to me.
I like most historical fiction. I guess it must be all of those Sunday drives my grandfather dragged me on, explaining all of the historical markers, etc.

I know when I read Cape Cod it was thrilling to learn the history of my birthplace. The even mention Bourne a few times in the book, pretty cool.
