You know, I seriously cannot think of a single reason why they wouldn't hire me for this position. I mean, there may be more experienced candidates out there, but I can almost guarantee that there is NO ONE with my background and certainly no one with my existing knowledge of the company (since I'm the only internal applicant).

The more people I tell about this position, the more times I hear "OMG, was this job created for you? It's perfect!!".

Now, to not let all that go to my head and deliver effectively for the next 4 hours is my current challenge.

GLC -- did you decide against trying to go to vet school? I must be a little behind; I remember reading your thread about that. Is this possible new position just an interim move, or are you hoping that it will cure your career angst?

As one who has suffered a lot of career angst over the years, I could certainly understand either way!
