I love my red-tinted photochromatic lenses in the Gavia frame. I've worn them for 3ish years now.
Perfect timing - I'm about to order a Rx pair of Tifosi's. I'm torn between the Alpe and Dzar. Anyone have any input on them? I tend to like bigger frames. These will be strictly for on the bike, and I'm getting them in a transitions lens so I can use them on rides that extend into the night.

I love my Tifosis! They are great!

Your post inspired me, so when I went out to buy my cycling shorts I tried on some Tifosi glasses. It never occurred to me to wear glasses when I ride, but I noticed yesterday that as I rode my eyes got dry. Not sure what style I might get but they sure have a nice selection.
I am big Tifosi fan. They gave me 30 pairs of Slips when I did my cross country fund raising ride for Hospice in 2007. I gave them to all the ladies in my group! I still have those glasses and love them. I have bought a second pair for my car. They have 4 changeable lenses and I LOVE that they have some peripheral coverage, too.
I have a small head and love my Tifosi's. After spending a small fortune on more "high-end" glasses, that promptly scratched, I decided the heck with that and went with Tifosi which work great and fit great. I would like to add a photochromatic pair but I am not sure about polarized as I have heard some complaints from cyclists that it makes it hard to read their bike computer. Opinions?
Oh! I NEVER ride without glasses. Too many dangers of things flying into your eyes. I got a bit of dust in my eye about 40 miles out on a ride - scratched my cornea and had to go to the ER. I would never ride without glasses - to say nothing about having the UV protection.

X2 about never riding without some sort of eye protection!!! I can't even recall how many times debris has gotten kicked up into my face on the bike. Everything from bugs, rocks, sticks, dirt, you name it...it's hit me. I also wear contacts, so that alone is a reason to wear sunglasses otherwise my eyes would dry out in a heartbeat.
