more coffee in class, a few slices of melon
Thai food for lunch (grrr) tofu and ginger over brown rice. I ate only half or a quarter of the rice, though
dinner (out again) mixed green salad with vinegrette, red snapper over cous cous, flavored with some kind of ham (little bits)
split a piece of devil's food cake with some unbelievably good topping with DH

Today:
B: two scrambled egg whites with one whole egg, 1 slice turkey bacon, 1 slice sprouted wheat toast
L: TJ chicken garlic sausage, 1 piece sprouted bread, large helping steamed broccoli
Pre-ride snack: banana/PB/sprouted bread sandwich
30 mile bike ride - and it was awesome!
Post ride snack - 1 cup low fat milk with 4 tortilla chips
D: roasted, skinless chicken breast with salad (romaine lettuce, carrots, onion, tomato, balsamic vinegar dressing) and two stalks celery. 1 beer.
Am craving hot chocolate for some reason, trying to decide if I can justify the additional carbs... I need to relearn how to eat after my long rides, they will only get longerIf I made it with low fat milk, would that be so bad? Probably, sigh.
yesterday:

went out to lunch at an Indian restaurant. I couldn't say no to going out with friends... I had a little bit of 3 of the vegetarian dishes at the buffet and one chicken leg. No rice and two little pieces of naan.

striped bass with seafood rub, sweet potato, salad with goat cheese, walnuts, cranberries, 2 pieces dark chocolate. 1.5 glasses of rose wine.

Haven't posted to this thread for awhile. Tomorrow I start my pre-colonoscopy (I just turned 50) "low fiber diet". I googled for ideas of what to eat, and it's pretty much the exact opposite of my current diet. White stuff, sugar, meat, all fine. Most veggies, fruits, nuts, beans, whole grains, foggetaboutit!
This is gonna be interesting...will be doing low fiber Wed-Sat, liquids only Sun., procedure is Monday morning.
I'll try to remember to post here as I do my low-fiber diet!![]()
