I'd changed my Roadid info so many times. Every time I'd get a new one someone on there would change their number, change cell phone companies ... I had a collection with tape over numbers.

I went to a LJS (local jewelry store) with the tags. He ground them flat and re-engraved.

The jeweler commented "you don't need new Roadid, you need more stable friends"

"These are my wife's phone numbers"

    "That's better!"

I use Xtreme sports ID. It has online info - and you can change the contact info online as well.

I use the Roadid shoe ID. I have one on my running shoes and just ordered one today for my cycling shoes. Nice and simple. Hopefully if I ever need help I just hope someone thinks to look at my shoes!

Personally, I think RoadID is trustworthy. Maybe it's hype, but when you read their 'story', it just doesn't strike me as sinister...maybe I'm wrong. I've always appreciated their support of events I've been involved with.

I think RoadID hit a goldmine and didn't get greedy...anything else will wind up being a knockoff driven only by a profitable idea pioneered by them IMHO
