I think you've got me beat with Key west there...
Agreed, Fort Lame is not my idea of a vacation hotspot. But writing a historical novel is cool as all get out!!! I read a lot of those (my favorite genre), when you're ready please share the title!

Dang, I didn't even know Ft. Wayne was big enough to have a nickname outside its immediate environs! Sure it was the big city to my ex when he was growing up in Van Wert...

    'Afternoon, ladies! What's happening?

Back from classes, errands and such. Trying to get up the energy to do the cleaning etc before we have guests over. X hung my painting this afternoon before I got home from class, so that was great. I think Sunny might go on the trainer so I can 'practice' a bit even when the weather's icky.

Wow - it's like old home week in here.

Hey Pax - you still riding? I am even more moto fickle than I thought I was and just traded the monster (that I had traded the bonnie for) for a 2006 multistrada. The monster was way too cramped for the trip we did to Seattle, so I have been keeping my eye open for an old multi. So far I love it. So comfy.

I have a buddy who's from there, he refers to it as Ft. Lame all the time.

Speaking of bodice/breechcloth ripping - I'm part way through the third book of the Outlander series. Jamie - sigh....

I have always loved the look of that Moto Guzzi! It is beautiful. Our local Guzzi/BMW dealer went out of business. The only moto store left in the county is our Ducati/Triumph dealer. Fortunately they are a fantastic shop and we love them.

The Multistrada is absolutely hideous, but cool hideous in my opinion. And I really do like the look of the old multi rather than the new one. And it's funny but I feel more confident riding it than the monster - I find that odd because it is bigger and a little heavier, etc. But the riding position is more comfortable and it corners so well.

I really miss having a scooter. You felt like you could run it down to the grocery store and you didn't have to get all leathered up.

    Anyway here's the Multi:

Agree 100%. We run all over the place on the scooters, the motorcycles are for gearing up and going for a RIDE.
