Dear beloved Hospital,

Forgive me, you know I love working for you, but I am a little bit irritated today.
I do understand that you are a public institution on a tight budget, but giving your medical educators a 40% pay-cut () sounds like telling them that you value medical education close to nothing. Do we get it right - when we spend half of our time in class or bedside teaching, you think that we produce less hospital revenue and we deserve a lower salary? Did you forget that we were already underpaid compare to 80% of hospitals?

I'm confused.
Our mission statement used to include educating residents and students while providing compassionate health care and pursuing excellence in medical research. Did you change our mission while I was sleeping?

And yes, I know that y'all administrators think that we spent 24 years of our life in medical training just because... but please please please would you be so kind as to show us some consideration? We are here to help, and we shose to serve in a State hospital to help a larger patient population - but please do not be upset if we start looking for alternatives at the big private hospital around the corner...
Yours truly,

TxDoc
