Actually, is there a place I can start "blogging" about my incoming adventure? Or a place I can journal?
Not familiar with blogging or anything like that.

this website: www.crazyguyonabike.com Anyone can post about their tour.
is for touring cyclists who can journal about their tours. It's a highly addictive site, tho. Beware!

I've posted a couple journals myself on there.

http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/ is a great site to use for bike tour blogging if you don't want to go through the trouble of setting up your own blog site.

stop at all historical markers, hit the local coffee shops and strike up conversations with every stranger you meet. Stop at all roadside stalls. Keep a blog- it really helps. Pick up tourist info at every site you stop at, it will help with the blog.

    Have a good good time.

If your husband is providing SAG support, I wouldn't carry much on the bike at all. And hey, is there room in your husband's car for Chicken Little's, Tri Girl's, AND my gear, too, in addition to your own?
