I rode today - it was 37F and I wrapped up in a Smartwool base layer, Smartwool jersey, thermal jacket, bibs, tights and a Gore windstopper full head cover underneath my helmet and I was STILL cold! I thought I would warm up - but after 8 miles I was chilled and it was obvious that I wasn't going to get any warmer so I turned the bike homewards. Snowflakes tonight ---- ugh!

Only thing I can think is that the humidity was involved, I've ridden in the high 30s before and not been quite so chilled.

A cold & short ride is better than NO ride
