    Awesome Wind!

I never thought I would say this - but this is the first time that I have had so much fun on the bike when there was so much wind! I was even riding into the wind and had the greatest time - even going uphill! That last one I can't figure out because it actually felt like I had a tailwind no matter what direction I was facing There was a small piece of my route where there was a crosswind but that seemed the only exception. This was in Eagle Creek Park for those familiar with Indy.

A strong wind gust blew some dead limbs down on my head and the road in front of me... I honestly don't know how I stayed up - but I did - and continued on. I won't be able to look at wind in quite the same way again

In the end I rode just over 10 miles and my average mph was over 13 - first time that has ever happened - thanks to the wind I would have loved to have ridden further, but I can't ride too long on weeknights or the endorphins keep me from sleeping.

Well I can't say that I've ever used "awesome" and "wind" in the same sentence, unless I'm talking about a tailwind the whole way (which this was not).
    Great job!!!!

It almost FELT like it was a tailwind the whole way - and considering I was riding a large circle in a hilly wooded park that was impossible. My loop there is from 4.5-6.5 miles depending on how many of the side roads I add to my loop.

After the tree threw limbs at me I decided to limit myself to the main loop

Hope you got inside before any storms came your way!

I got to get blown home on my commute -- and happily, the storms started brewing a mile or two east of here before wreaking havoc for miles and miles. (The weather likes me.)
