Wide shoulders here too and the ONE jersey I do own (2010 Fat Cyclist) is a the mans instead of the woman's jersey.

My riding has to this point been short rides where I don't need to carry a ton of stuff and DH has a rack on his bike with enough room to carry all of our stuff.... so I also have a slew of those Livestrong T's made the the Dri-Fit material that keeps me dry.

I guess that's a plus of having a riding partner and someone willing to carry all your stuff

I have broad shoulders and prefer men's jerseys as well for the length in the torso and the generous pockets. I do have a Shebeest jersey that is cut similar to a man's jersey.

I am thin woman and I like jerseys with a men's cut better. I don't really believe that all women have the hourglass figure. I just feel better in jerseys with some elastic at the bottom.

For anyone who is thinking of trying a unisex or men's jersey, the rule of thumb is that the size needed for most makers is one size larger than what you wear in a unisex tee-shirt. If you wear a size large in a unisex tee, then you need to buy the jersey in an extra-large. The exceptions, at least for me, are the makers Canari and Free Spirit are the same size as the unisex tee, so essentially one size smaller than the other makers.

I have broad shoulders, and I also wear men's. I will disagree with the pockets comment. While some women's jerseys don't have 3 pockets or have small pockets, my men's XS jerseys also occasionally only have 2 pockets or have really tiny pockets (some are better, it all depends on the brand). I also prefer men's for the torso length. Don't feel weird about it.

My husband and I share the same sports jerseys. There are mens and womens jerseys in our collection (of course without floral or pink details ), we just buy what fits (and then steal the best ones from each other ).

I'd like the torso length of guys jerseys but I don't think I could find them small enough. Anyone know how boys jerseys run? Are they longer as well?
