Pockets! Men's jerseys always have 3 large pockets in back. Women's jerseys have much smaller pockets, sometimes two, sometimes only one. I want the bigger pockets for all my stuff.

have been wearing mens jeans, and jerseys for years. I also wear some women's jerseys, but the majority are mens. Not only do they fit better, but I will not buy a jersey without three pockets- which mens almost always have, plus they seem to go on sale more often and are usually bit less expensive to begin with. I have a mental list of the brands and the sizes and types that fit me and then I shop on line when I need something. Mens jeans are definitely less expensive than womens.

I prefer the men's jerseys also because there is more room through the chest, I like the longer length and I like the deeper pockets. The elastic bottoms don't ride up on me and actually make is so that the jersey stays down and doesn't ride up. Most of the bike shops refer to the clothing and shoes as unisex. I know my size in the major brands, like Voler, Canari, Primal Wear, Vomax, Hincapie and Free Spirit. I love the Free Spirit jerseys the most, located at http://www.freespirit.com. I've gotten some real nice jerseys off of eBay for just a few dollars because I know which size I wear in the major jersey makers. However I love to buy the jerseys that go with an event ride. I am doing this century on June 4 and look how cool the jersey is: http://www.primalwear.com/p-2415-pio...ns-jersey.aspx

Interesting that so many of us are better off in men's jerseys. They don't fit me well, they always roll up around my waist.

Wide shoulders here too and the ONE jersey I do own (2010 Fat Cyclist) is a the mans instead of the woman's jersey.

My riding has to this point been short rides where I don't need to carry a ton of stuff and DH has a rack on his bike with enough room to carry all of our stuff.... so I also have a slew of those Livestrong T's made the the Dri-Fit material that keeps me dry.

I guess that's a plus of having a riding partner and someone willing to carry all your stuff

I have broad shoulders and prefer men's jerseys as well for the length in the torso and the generous pockets. I do have a Shebeest jersey that is cut similar to a man's jersey.

I am thin woman and I like jerseys with a men's cut better. I don't really believe that all women have the hourglass figure. I just feel better in jerseys with some elastic at the bottom.
