What's gross? Chamois lube is a great gift of the cycling gods, at least as far as I'm concerned. God forbid we should ever do tips on deadly aim with a snot rocket (an EXTREMELY useful skill...)
Anyway, I thought about it and when I was going high miles I had none of these problems, I think it was the right shorts and a good bike fitting.
