    closeup pics....

Mama was happy to introduce her baby today.

These two wanted to "help" me with my photo shoot.

    Me too!

Awwww! I love this time of year, we have baby goats and baby cows. DH shot down letting me foster a mama cat and her soon to be born litter for the shelter. I love baby animals, not as crazy about baby humans.

Those close-ups are amazing. Are you sure you didn't have a carrot or two taped to the camera?

    Heh, me too!

Sundial - those are awesome photos! I just want to reach out and touch them! Good thing we've got baby goats to keep me satisfied!

I promise I didn't have a treat in my hand when I photographed the family. They are pretty curious about the camera and they give it a good sniff while I was trying to use it. Mama wouldn't let the baby get close to me but I figure after a few more visits she'll let it come to me. I need to start packing apples when I drop by.

Baby animals remind me that all is well in the world. I look forward to a beautiful spring and the abundance of beauty that comes with it.

GLC, would you post pics of your baby goats? They always bring a smile to me. They can be so frisky as they frolic and climb on stuff.

I totally agree about baby animals! If I'm having a bad day, two tiny warm baby goats in my lap will make all the troubles melt away in an instant.

This is dollar - he is pretty much full grown now (he was one of the babies born last September). He is still very affectionate. (That's Buddy in the background!)

This is Daisy - Dollar's sister. She's still quite small and it's partly due to a bad udder on her dam. Hopefully she'll grow more as I fear she is too small to kid. She's a super sweet and easy to manage goat though!

This is Penny - one of our newest babies born Feb 7th. Penny has a brother named Polaris that I don't have a good photo of at the moment. This photo is about 10 days old so she is a little bigger now. Penny is completely black and has eyes that are kind of a blue/brown mix color. (Her brother has blue eyes).

Too cute! I love donkeys but they can be rather loud. You can hear them for miles!
