I found cat hairs are the ones that turn into dust bunnies. My dog's hair just laid where they fell as they were heavier than kitty fluff. I remember a few times when I felt this strange pin-prick sensation on the sole of my foot. When I look, sure enough, there's a black dog-hair poking into my skin!

I vacuum every day, but it's really just a losing battle.
