That Riley in the coffee is too much.

Poor Suki (aka Pookie)....she had a rough day!
She was an abuse rescue kitty from the shelter and when we adopted her 1 1/2 yrs ago she was only about 3 yet had very poor teeth due to her earlier infections and malnutrition taking its toll...she would always have poor teeth, but otherwise now healthy.
Her last checkup revealed some bad dental/gum issues, so today she went in for a major plaque cleaning and two of her teeth had to come out as well. A canine and a molar. They also told me she was already missing severl tiny front teeth and another back tooth. But this extraction should help her overall mouth health and the plaque removal is good too. They had to knock her out to do all this of course- valium followed by gas!

Now she's back home, and seems ok- she ate a big bowl of soupy food and is resting happily, still on pain killers. She's snoozing on her fave pillow now...tiny drops of blood on her chin.
I have more pain killers to give her over the next three days, plus she's on antibiotics now for 14 days to clear up the mouth while she's healing.
Sheba has strict orders not to bother Sukie for the next two days....but will she behave? (NOT)

Poor little thing! But I'm hopeful she will soon feel much better than before she had the teeth out. My baby! (this photo was from a year ago)
