Loved this - you can just see it written all over her face in the last sequence "ooh, am I not lovely and gorgeous (now THROW that ball already, I have to teach you everything?)"

My cats will snuggle up to the fireplace, but not the dog. He avoids it for some reason that I will never understand....

There is nothing as enduringly funny to me as watching a cat try to pounce on wood floors.

Unless it is watching Tux,the armpit projectile shedding, 25 pound Maine Coon with hair 2 " long growing out from between the pads on the bottom of his feet come running full tilt down the stairs and trying to make the corner into the kitchen. He usually ends up flat on his tummy and spinning in a circle several times, after which he stands up, turns his back on everybody, washes briefly and then sits with his back firmly to the world, ears turned slightly back and the very tip of his tail twitching in that FU gesture which cats use to show disdain.

I am planning on tearing the carpet up on my stairs...I have a feeling my time is coming for that reaction. Skunk (my maine coon) routinely slides into walls downstairs when she's hunting her stuffed mice.

My sister's dog, on the other hand, has figured exactly how far away she needs to sit when running on wood floors so that she can slide to a stop at your feet sitting down.
