    My daughter has a cool Cinderella tiara that I'm going to try to hijack the day of the ride. I just hope I don't break it.

    yes it's mandatory Just kidding Mel, lots of women wear costumes but it's not required. A helmet's the only thing required ... wait a minute, wait a minute, let's not go with that visual It's not clothing optional.

    Hrm. I still have my tiara from my wedding... I could also get geared up in my Faire garb but the skirts would really get in the way. heh. Maybe I could just wear the tiara and my cloak?

    Often riders will adorn their helmets with silk flowers or ribbons or other various and sundry frou-frou.

    Another popular option has been known to attach a piece of lightweight netting or tule (sp?) to the back of your helmet for that lovely flowing veil effect, one benefit of which is that it makes it seem like you're going faster in photos

    Tiaras are optional, but are always appreciated. Scepters are somewhat frowned upon for safety concerns, particularly if they were originally cattle prods.
