    Well, that's my theory with some beautiful snowscape pics that distract any dizzy-prone person. We finally went snowshoeing in the mountains this year..

    I agree. I snow shoe in places I would never hike. I hate the open, high up , narrow feeling you describe. I think that is what impacts my descending on the bike, too.
    I have had the uncontrollable shaky quads you describe skiing down narrow, icy trails where I felt I didn't have enough room to execute good turns.

    Still, I'm sure you are a better x-country skier.

    I just never learned proper technique. But at this time, I'm not sweating over this since there are other substitutes for good cardiovascular winter workout on the snow.

    Dearie used to do lots of downhill skiing....in Europe..in the Alps several decades ago.
